Gemma Smyth Communications kick-starts new chapter with major rebrand & expanded offering
Gemma Smyth Communications Ltd, the communications consultancy founded in 2013, has announced a major rebrand and from today the company will be known as &Smyth. The new-look creative communications agency today revealed plans to share regular insights and expertise on its social media channels @andsmythpr and is showcasing an expanded range of services on its new website andsmyth.ie.
Expanded Services
The company’s core service offering included communications strategy, media relations, crisis communications, communications training, copywriting, brand communications and events.
Over the last number of years this has expanded to include social media strategy, digital and influencer marketing and advanced content and graphic creation. In 2020, &Smyth added personal brand building and mentoring, virtual events and audio and video podcasting to its list of services.
Rebrand Process
&Smyth works with an extensive network of Irish businesses who support and enhance the agency’s creative communications campaigns. In the development of the new &Smyth brand and assets, the team collaborated with brand specialists Slater Design; Not Just a Pawn Productions; Cathal Noonan Photography and Urban Brand Creative Website Design.
The company also carried out qualitative research in-house with its clients and professional network to help inform the brand positioning.

&Smyth is based in Stoneybatter in Dublin and currently employs four full-time members of staff. The company received ‘Best Covid Communications Campaign’ in the 2020 Guild of Agri Journalists Awards for its work with Certified Irish Angus and ‘Best Consumer Campaign’ in PRCA Awards 2020 for a campaign carried out on behalf of the Clonakilty Food Company.
