Gardening, Goodies and Giggles – Bord Bia Bloom announces full festival line-up for much loved summer event
Ireland’s favourite festival of flowers, food and fun, returns to the Phoenix Park, Dublin, this June bank holiday weekend (May 30th – June 3rd) and promises attendees a great day out with its colourful collection of show gardens, tantalising displays of Irish food and drink, inspiring talks and demos, and live interactive entertainment for visitors of all ages.

The new rules of engagement: 3 ways to navigate reduced ROI in Influencer Marketing
Yesterday, the CPCC released new research on influencer marketing in Ireland. The study looked at how consumers engage with influencers on social media platforms; and the effect that this marketing type can have on consumer behaviour. In addition it also recorded “consumers’ ability to recognise influencer marketing and the role of self-regulation organisations (SROs) and statutory bodies in this area” (CPCC, 2022).
This report was welcomed as there is so little existing material around influencer marketing in an Irish context, however it did signal some concerning behaviours. Some of the key findings included:

Kerry has announced his most ambitious plan to date for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show as organisers agree to showcase his rare ferns in a prime position at the 2023 event. Building on this year’s success, where Alexander was awarded Gold medals at both the RHS Chelsea Flower show and the RHS Hampton Court Palace for his rare ground and tree fern display, Billy’s ambition is to secure another gold medal in 2023.

Irish foodservice sector rebounds to pre-pandemic levels, but significant challenges are on the horizon – Bord Bia report
TThe findings of Bord Bia’s 2022 Irish Foodservice Market Insights Report released today show that the Irish foodservice, or ‘out of home’, industry experienced significant growth of 61% in value to reach over €8.2 billion this year. This represents an almost full recovery to pre-pandemic levels, but it is set against a forecast for modest growth of 11.6% in 2023 (predicted to be fuelled mainly by cost inflation, rather than consumer visits).
